9 Days to Fair – Feb. 14 Posted on February 14th, 2017 by

After this Friday there will be no changes to the fair or bus registration! If you plans have changed let me know!

Questions:

Do you need cover letters for the fair?

NO! You will be there in person to talk to recruiters so that replaces your letter. You may send an email (sample in the attached booklet) requesting pre-select interviews before the fair. If you are going to send these do it this week! Next week is too late!

How many resume copies should I bring?

This depends on how many employers you are interested in talking with. Between 10 and 30 resumes on resume paper – which you may purchase in the BookMark or the Print Room.

Candid Camera Anyone! The fair is filming this year and looking for students willing to be on camera to talk about their fair experience. Let me know by this Friday so I can get you on the list!

Fair Prep Party! 21 of you have joined the Party event on Handshake….I hope more of you come! This is a great chance not just to get ready for fair by practicing your introduction and mock interviews, you can meet alums with jobs and internships! Some students have gotten them from this event. Plus there will be resume review, help preparing your introduction, good food, and more! Business casual dress…..it will be fun! 6:30 – 7:00 is practicing introductions; 7:00 Mock Interviews and advice tables start. It is done by 8, you may get done earlier!

More Fair Prep: This Friday at 10:30 in Career Development I am meeting with one students to prepare for fair. I figured I would offer it to the rest of you too! And, next Monday night Real Life 101: Career from 6:30 – 7:00 is getting ready for the fair!

If you have questions – email them to me!
