Thank you for registering for MN Private Colleges Job and Internship Fair!

 

As new people register – remember that previous emails that I have sent out are available at: https://careerdevelopment.blog.gustavus.edu/.

 

Also, please remember that there are more of you than there are Career Development staff! PLEASE read these email messages so that you stay on track with preparing for the fair.

 

Remember the employer list continues to change! Please do continue to check it!

February Real Life 101: Career In Career Development at 6:30 for questions and

7:00 – 7:45 Topic Session

6: Get Ready for MN Private Colleges Job and Internship Fair

Have a plan and strategy for success at fair. And, get your questions answered about how to be ready for success at fair!

 

13: MN Private Colleges Job and Internship Employer Review

Find out which employers at the fair are of most interest to you. After this session you still have time to request interviews at the fair!

 

15: Fair Prep Party! (On Wednesday – not Monday and 6:30 – 8:00)

Alumni Hall from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. with speed networking, mock interviews, and fair success advice! Please Join this Event on Handshake so we know how many students to expect.

 

20: Last Chance to Prepare for MN Private Colleges Job and Internship Fair

Be ready to introduce yourself to employers with your elevator speech and to interview for internships and jobs. More students get interviews than you think!

 

To Do List

  1. Review fair booklet (attached to this message), it has loads of info!
  2. If your resume is not yet approved on Handshake, please upload it as soon as possible
  3. If your resume is approved on Handshake, please upload it to the fair site at mnpcfair.org – so that employers attending the fair can see it.
  4. Prepare your MOST professional dress clothes. The standard at this event for all class years and types of positions is suits for both men and women.
  5. Plan your transportation to the fair – plan to be at the Fair by 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning for the 9:00 opening of the fair.
  6. If you are a candidate with needs that would benefit from extra time on the employer floor, please let me know.
  7. Review the employer list – this will take more time than you think!
