There are now 190 Gusties registered for MN Private Colleges Job and Internship Fair on Feb. 22 and 23 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO ATTEND THE FAIR – PLEASE GO ON HANDSHAKE AND REMOVE YOURSELF FROM THE EVENT!
As new people register – remember that previous emails that I have sent out are available at: https://careerdevelopment.blog.gustavus.edu/.
This is a great event, BUT it is really only useful if your PREPARE to be successful at it! That means it will take time. This is NOT like other fairs – the employers attending have high expectations. The good news is touring week is coming up so some of you will have some time!

To Do List
- Review fair booklet (attached to this message), it has loads of info!
- If your resume is not yet approved on Handshake, please upload it as soon as possible
- If your resume is approved on Handshake, please upload it to the fair site at mnpcfair.org – so that employers attending the fair can see it.
- Prepare your MOST professional dress clothes. The standard at this event for all class years and types of positions is suits for both men and women.
- Plan your transportation to the fair – plan to be at the Fair by 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday morning for the 9:00 opening of the fair.
- If you are a candidate with needs that would benefit from extra time on the employer floor, please let me know.
- Review the employer list – this will take more time than you think!
- Send emails and resumes requesting pre-select interviews at the fair.
As you can see – there is a lot to do! The good news is that this will set you up to seek an internship and/or job before and after the fair!
