Fair Goers:
- 15 days to fair!
- We are at 101 on resumes posted on the fair site (mnpcfair.org) –this is great! (St. Thomas has only 64!)
- There are 49 of you without resumes approved on GustieJobs….please upload resume there as soon as possible! It will take me some time to help that many of you with resume edits if needed.
- There are 27 of you who have never logged on to GustieJobs. For help logging in – see 3 minute video at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9KKbLdp_8s
- See attached list of 258 employers – I gave my best on what they do….see the yellow ones – I did not know who they were….some are interesting.
- Tips: go through list and cross out any that you KNOW you are not interested in (law school, internships etc.), get the list smaller and than go to the website to do more research.
- NOW is the time to:
- Get your MOST professional clothes together for fair (and bring back to campus with you!)
- Plan your transportation to fair (let me know if you need help with this)
- Get your resume done – make 10 – 50 copies on resume paper (available at BookMark, buy paper and take to Gustavus Print Room for copies)
- Research employers – have a list of 5 – 20 employers you plan to talk to
- Download the fair app – MNPC Career Fair Plus
- Upload resume to fair site ww.mnpcfair.org
- Send emails to employers asking for interviews at fair.
- Email back to me if you plan to attend the Fair Prep Party! We need to know who will be there so we can plan.
- If your resume is approved and you do not have the fair booklet – let me know. It has a time chart to schedule interviews at fair.
