Fair Goers:
If your résumé has been approved on GustieJobs – go to the fair site (mnpcfair.org) and upload your résumé there. On the Fair site in the box on the left side there is a Post Resume Online option – click that – register and upload your resume. We have the post resumes posted – but only by 2! We have over 70 registered for fair and only 19 resumes posted on the fair site. Lets load up the site with Gustie resumes!
If you are thinking about what career areas might interest you, you might want to use the resources at Talent Today (http://www.talentoday.com). Gustavus has an account on that site – Put in Gustavus to access the information. The site offers some assessments to help you put language to what your talents and motivations are and allows you to explore career ideas and jobs.
Hotel Info! We encourage candidates to consider staying in the Twin Cities the night before fair – Tuesday, Feb. 17. Many stay with family and friends, which is great. If you are interested we do have a block of rooms at the Hilton Minneapolis (skyway connected to the Convention Center). The rate is $105 for a single/double – the deadline to reserve those rooms is Jan. 14. Use the code MJF to get the special rate. The phone number is: 612-376-1000.
Look at the employer list at mnpcfair.org. There are lots of employers, some you will know and some you will not. It WILL take you time to see which employers may interest you. Remember – if you don’t recognize the name of an employer – others may not either, which means there may be fewer candidates and shorter lines for them!
