With so many opportunities during the year to meet with employers it is sometimes hard to know where to start.  Below are some ideas of what things to talk to employers about – even if you are not sure you are interested in applying for their positions.   Every time you talk to employers you will get practice talking about yourself and your career interests!

  1. Introduce yourself. Share your resume.
  2. Ask what types of positions they have.
  3. Ask how many are they looking to hire?
  4. Ask about what their selection process is?
  5. What are their locations? (You can share that you are looking for opportunities is specific locations.)
  6. Of the new grads they hire, how many continue in the organization? If they leave what do they go to? (Use this to research ideas for yourself!)
