Fair Candidates:
Thank you for being great candidates at the Fair! I am hearing that some of you got interviews and are following up with employers. It is a great idea to send thank you notes to those with whom you interviewed. It is also great to send a thank you note or email to those you talked to but did not interview with – to stay in their selection process. (All candidates are told to send thank you notes – few do! If you do you will separate yourself from other candidates.)
We got feedback from one employer that they were very impressed with a Gustie who did what I suggested – went back at the end of the day to re-state their interest in the position. They got an interview – so that is great.
I know the Fair was challenging for some of you with traffic and parking issues. Those are the reasons I encourage candidates to plan to be parking by 8 a.m. Doing that means that if there are issues you have enough time to arrive and not feel stressed.
