The Student Advertising Summit is a great way to get involved in the advertising and marketing community, and provides students with a link to professionals who hire upcoming graduates.

It is an event hosted by AdFed and Ad2 that provides students with an opportunity to hear professionals talk about marketing/advertising/PR topics that are relevant to students. Includes: Networking Roundtables; Portfolio Reviews; Agency Tours; Speakers from the Industry; Insight to what the working world is like; and Contacts

It will take place on Feb. 11, 2011 from 8 am – 5 pm in Minneapolis at the McNamara Alumni Center on the Twin Cities University of Minneosta Campus (200 Oak St. S.E. in Minneapolis). The cost is $50.

Every bit of exposure to the advertising community is essential and this is an opportunity to meet real people doing the job students desire. Networking is critical in this competitive job market.

The Career Center is willing to help students without means of transportation and also has a few tips on how to pay for the registration fee if they cannot afford it – for more information stop by or contact the Career Center. We will also have a Career Center representative attending the event to help support our students while there.
