As an alum, the one regret I hear from friends (both Gusties and non) about their college years is that they never went abroad.  Here at Gustavus it’s easy to fall into the constant swirl of classes, sports, and activities.  And what a wonderful swirl it is!  But there are so many advantages to – and ways to – head out of the country or overseas for awhile.
Going Global has a fantastic blog to check out while you mull over whether to leave on an adventure and then where to explore.  It’s a student focused site with lots of personal stories combined with key information you’ll need in the process of arranging an overseas stay.  It also details possibilities you may not have considered – what about interning abroad?  Or working abroad after graduation?  Blog tags include topics such as work-permits, culture, research, H-1B visas, and connections.
So settle on in with this blog to broaden your study abroad ideas and then make a date at the Center for International and Cultural Education to put your plan in action!
