My name is Lindsay and I’m a new blogging member of the Gustavus Career Center Blog. I’m a junior English Major at Gustavus, and like a lot of juniors on campus, I have no idea what I’m doing with my life after I graduate. I know what I want to do, and what I don’t. But, I’m not sure how I’m going to make it all happen.
I do know that the Career Center is the place to go for help, though. And because of this, I’m excited to somehow be involved in what they do. Not enough students utilize the Career Center. In fact, I’m pretty sure most students only go freshman year for their FTS, and senior year when they’re freaking out about graduation and life after GAC in the real world.
The Career Center serves as more than just a place to pick up the colorful sheets of paper that tell you ‘what you can do with a major in…’. It’s full of great resources and opportunities and people who generally want to help you out.
Although they may not be a singing old Doo Wop songs when you go in, the Career Center is a welcoming environment with some really comfy chairs.
