Employer Information Day is for ALL Students! Posted on September 23rd, 2009 by

A senior just emailed me asking if she should go to Employer Information Day next week or if there are other days coming up….below is my answer! This is a challenging job market so my advice to seniors is to start job searching NOW and expect it to take a long time!

Remember Employer Info Day is for ALL students. First year students are encouraged to come through to see what it is all about, sophomores and juniors are encouraged to come learn about internships and get comfortable meeting employers and seniors – become candidates for opportunities! See you all next week at Employer Info Day!

Yes! Go! Employer Information Day is THE day you should attend! There are no other days on campus like it. Off campus there are some events – Government Job Fair, MN Private Colleges Job Fair, Idealist Non-profit Job Fair….but on campus this is it!

Bring your updated resume on resume paper (get at Bookmark, make sure I have seen your resume), review employers attending so you are prepared to talk with them, look on G-Net to see which will be coming to campus for interviews so you can talk with them about that….wear at LEAST business casual or professional dress (since you are looking for a job this will be your FIRST impression and you want to look like a professional not a college kid.)

See you Wednesday! Cynthia
