Work For the Feds Posted on September 16th, 2009 by

A recent Washington Post article released the results of a government-wide survey – and detailed GREAT NEWS for upcoming job seekers!

The federal government needs to hire more than 270,000 workers for “mission-critical” jobs (jobs identified by government agencies as essential for the agency to function) over the next three years, a surge prompted in part by a large number of soon-to-retire baby boomers.

So why not look into a career in the government??!  They have positions for graduates with all kinds of majors.

Here are a few places to start:

There is also a Government Job & Internship Fair coming up on Monday, October 26th (reading day at GAC).  This is a fantastic opportunity to talk with representatives from local, county, state, and federal agencies.  Keep an eye out for registration information!
